Research
The immunobiology of invertebrates is at the heart of my research program. We’re interested in the mechanics behind, and manifestation of, immune responses in mosquitoes, ticks, and shrimp. These phenomena are of interest for their parallels in vertebrate immune responses, and also for the possibility of augmenting immune responses to create resistance to infectious disease agents.
