Research Interest

The Caceres lab aims to characterize molecular factors that modulate the pathogenesis and viral-host interactions of influenza and coronaviruses affecting humans and livestock. To achieve this, we employ a combination of classical molecular virology techniques, OMICS approaches, and various in vitro and in vivo models. We are also interested in developing and testing vaccines and antivirals for humans and animals.
