In Memory of James S. Balloun
March 2, 2023 – James S. Balloun, 84, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2023.
Born in Iowa and an Iowa State University alum, Balloun was an ardent supporter of the mission and vision of Iowa State University, especially interdisciplinary research initiatives that have the potential to make global impacts.

ISU Researcher Douglas Jones Awarded Contract from Merck for Altrenogest Delivery Technology in Swine
September 1, 2022 – Ames, IA – Dr. Douglas Jones, Professor in Veterinary Pathology in the College of Veterinary Medicine was recently awarded a contract from Merck to study the efficacy of a biodegradable polyanhydride-based implant for Altrenogest delivery in swine.

ISU Researcher Awarded Funds from Merck to Advance Nanoparticle Avian Flu Vaccine Research
