Research
The immunobiology and physiology of invertebrates is at the heart of the part of my research program in which we are developing novel interventions to control disease; this includes diseases that are lethal to cultured shrimp, and the potential of mosquitoes to transmit disease agents that impact human and animal health. In association with the NVI, the Bartholomay laboratory has tested nanocarrier potential for delivering vaccines to shrimp, and insecticidal molecules for mosquito control.
