Three Nanovaccine Institute members recognized through Iowa State Awards

May 12, 2025 – Ames, IA – Two Nanovaccine Institute staff and an institute-related faculty member have been named award recipients from Iowa State University’s 2025 university award program. With approximately 75 awarded, this competitive honors program acknowledges work that has had a significant impact at the university and beyond campus.

Congratulations Dr. Sean Kelly and Dr. Susheel Nethi for receiving Iowa State University’s Professional and Scientific Outstanding New Professional Award.

This award recognizes a professional and scientific staff member employed fewer than five years who has achieved excellence in their field, demonstrated by service within the university, innovative ways to complete job responsibilities, and commitment to professional progression.

Congratulations Dr. Jodi McGill, associate professor, John G. Salsbury Endowed Chair, veterinary microbiology and preventive medicine; and associate dean of graduate studies and research training, College of Veterinary Medicine on the Award for Mid-Career Achievement.

This award recognizes a tenured or tenure-track faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in research or creative activity at the mid-career stage as evaluated by peers and experts in their field.
